Andrei Alexandrovich Kuznetsov ( Russian Андре́й Алекса́ндрович Кузнецо́в , English Andrey Alexandrovich Kuznetsov ; born February 22, 1991 in Tula , then Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a Russian tennis player .

Career

Kuznetsov, who has been coached by his father Alexander since childhood, won the individual competition at Wimbledon during his junior career . A year later he therefore received a wild card for the main draw at Wimbledon, where he was defeated by the Romanian Victor Hănescu in just five sets . His first title on the Challenger Tour won Kuznetsov in April 2012. In the final in Naples , he defeated the French Jonathan Dasnières de Veigy in straight sets. On the World Tour he made his debut in Moscow in 2009 , but retired in the opening round against Fabrice Santoro .

In 2013 he made his debut for the Russian Davis Cup team .
