The Valencia Open 500 2013 was a tennis tournament that took place from October 19-27, 2013 in Valencia . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2013 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week, the Swiss Indoors Basel were played in Basel , which, like the Valencia Open, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category .

Defending champion in singles was David Ferrer , in doubles the pairing was Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares . Ferrer was also in the final again this year, but had to admit defeat to Russian Michail Juschny in two sets with 3: 6 and 5: 7. Peya / Soares, on the other hand, were able to successfully defend their title from the previous year. In the final, they defeated the Bryan brothers in three tight sets with 7: 6 3 , 6: 7 1 and [13:11].

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs.

The qualification for the Valencia Open 500 2012 took place on October 19 and 20, 2013. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
