Feliciano López Díaz-Guerra (born September 20, 1981 in Toledo ) is a Spanish tennis player .
Career
At the age of five, López began playing tennis with his father Feliciano. He has already had some successes at junior level, and in 1997 he turned professional.
He achieved his first individual tournament victory in 2004 at the ATP tournament in Vienna . He reached the Dubai final in 2004 and 2008 and the New Haven final in 2005 . He has also already won a double title, in 2004 alongside Fernando Verdasco at the Stockholm ATP tournament . Six more times he was in the final of a doubles competition ( Mallorca 2001 with Francisco Roig , Valencia 2004 with Marc López , Barcelona 2005 with Rafael Nadal , Dubai 2011 with Jérémy Chardy as well as in 2014 Acapulco with Max Mirny and Rome with Robin Haase ).
In February 2010, he won his second title on the ATP World Tour in Johannesburg when he defeated the French Stéphane Robert in the final 7: 5 and 6: 1. He won his number three and four singles titles both on grass, in 2013 and 2014 in Eastbourne . He reached his highest world ranking position in March 2015 with position 12.
No player on the ATP Tour lost more games in singles than López.
López has already played 29 games for the Spanish Davis Cup team since 2003, of which he won 12 (singles 4: 8; doubles 8: 9).
