The Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place from April 16 to 23, 2017 in Roquebrune-Cap-Martin, France, near Monaco . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on a clay court. This season it was the third of nine tournaments in the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 category .

Last year's winner in the individual was Rafael Nadal , who defended his title and was able to win for the 10th time. Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut were successful in doubles last year.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 56 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 24 pairs. The eight top seeded players in singles or pairings in doubles each received a bye to advance to the second round. The total prize money was 4,273,775 euros; the total financial liabilities were EUR 4,629,725.

qualification

The qualification took place on April 14th and 15th, 2017. Seven places were played that allowed participation in the main draw of the tournament. There were also two lucky losers because Philipp Kohlschreiber and Pierre-Hugues Herbert had to cancel the tournament at short notice.
