The Winston-Salem Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Winston-Salem from August 21-27, 2017 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played outdoors on hard courts. It was part of the ATP World Tour 250 category and the 2017 US Open Series .

The defending champions were Pablo Carreño Busta in singles and Guillermo García-López and Henri Kontinen in doubles .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 48 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The 16 top seeded players each received a bye in the first round. The prize pool was 664,825 and the total financial commitment was $ 748,960.

The qualification took place on August 19 and 20, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser.
