The Argentina Open 2017 was a tennis tournament of the ATP World Tour 2017 in Buenos Aires , which was played outdoors on clay from February 8th to 14th, 2017. In the same week the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament was played in Rotterdam and the Memphis Open in Memphis . The former was in the ATP World Tour 500 category , while the tournaments in Buenos Aires and Memphis were in the ATP World Tour 250 category .

Defending champion was Dominic Thiem in the singles. Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah from Colombia won doubles last year .

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total prize pool was $ 546,680; total financial liabilities were $ 624,340.
