Bagnis has so far achieved successes mainly on the ATP Challenger Tour . He won his first tournaments in 2011: In March he secured the double title in Salinas together with Federico Delbonis , before he could celebrate the first single title just a month later in April. He defeated his compatriot Diego Junqueira in Barranquilla after 1: 6, 6: 6 behind with 1: 6, 7: 6 4 , 6: 0. In the same year, but already in January, he made his debut on the World Tour in Chile at the Movistar Open . In the first round he was defeated by the later finalist Santiago Giraldo in three sets. He won his first game on the World Tour in 2012 at the Copa Claro in Buenos Aires, when he beat Leonardo Mayer in three sets. In the last sixteen he had no chance against David Ferrer . In Grand Slam tournaments , he has not yet successfully qualified for the main field, although he has already made several attempts.
In July 2013 he won the ATP tournament in Stuttgart at the side of Thomaz Bellucci ; they defeated the two Poles Tomasz Bednarek and Mateusz Kowalczyk in the final . With his first World Tour title in doubles, he moved up to 87th place in the doubles world rankings, making him one of the top 100 for the first time. At the French Open 2014 he qualified for a Grand Slam tournament for the first time . In the first round he immediately defeated Julien Benneteau with 18:16 in the fifth set.
