The Swiss Indoors Basel 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Basel from October 23 to 29, 2017 . It was part of the ATP World Tour 2017 and was played indoors on a hard court. In the same week, the Erste Bank Open was played in Vienna , which, like the Swiss Indoors, belonged to the ATP World Tour 500 category . The venue for the tournament was the St. Jakobshalle , which is located just behind the Basel city limits in Münchenstein .

Last year's winners were Marin Čilić in singles and Marcel Granollers and Jack Sock in doubles .

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The total financial commitments were 2,291,860 euros, the prize money was 1,837,425 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place on October 21 and 22, 2017 in the St. Jakobshalle . Four qualifying places in the individual competition and one place in the doubles competition were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament.
