The SkiStar Swedish Open 2017 was a tennis tournament that took place in Båstad from July 17th to 23rd, 2017 . It was part of the 2017 ATP World Tour and was played outdoors on sand. The same week the Umag Open was played in Umag and the Hall of Fame Tennis Open in Newport . All three tournaments belonged to the ATP World Tour 250 category . The men's tournament was followed by the women's tournament in Båstad from July 24th to 30th.

The defending champions were Albert Ramos in singles and Marcel Granollers and David Marrero in doubles.

The field of participants in the single competition consisted of 28 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. The four top seeded players in the singles each received a bye in the first round. The total prize money was 482,060 euros; the financial obligations amounted to 540,310 euros.

qualification

The qualification took place from July 16-17, 2017. Four qualifying places were played, which entitle them to participate in the main draw of the tournament. There was also a lucky loser, as Richard Gasquet withdrew his participation.
