Andre Begemann (born July 12, 1984 in Lemgo ) is a German tennis player .
Career
Andre Begemann studied at Pepperdine University in California , where he was also active in college tennis . In May 2008 he graduated with a major in Business Administration .
Begemann has so far been particularly successful in doubles. He has already won 16 double titles on the Challenger Tour . He made his Grand Slam debut at Wimbledon when he qualified for the main round with Igor Zelenay . Against Eric Butorac and Jamie Murray they lost just under four sets. In October 2012 Begemann won his first ATP title together with Martin Emmrich in Vienna . The second title followed in Düsseldorf in May 2013 . Begemann and Emmrich were in the Chennai final in January 2013 . Two more ATP double titles were added in 2014.
He achieved his highest world rankings in July 2010 with rank 166 in singles and in May 2015 with rank 36 in doubles.
In 2014 , Andre Begemann made his debut for the German Davis Cup team in the Davis Cup quarter-final match against France .
