The ATP tournament in Winston-Salem (officially: Winston-Salem Open ) is an American tennis tournament that has been held annually in Winston-Salem , North Carolina since August 2011 . Been wearing it is on the campus of Wake Forest University with a 48-main draw in singles and a 16 main draw doubles.

The tournament replaced the one in New Haven and, like this one, is played on hard courts. Like New Haven, the tournament is also part of the ATP World Tour 250 and the US Open Series , a series of hard court tournaments in North America that are intended to serve as preparation for the US Open ; Winston-Salem takes place one week before the US Open and is therefore the last chance to play a hard court tournament before the fourth Grand Slam of the year.

John Isner won the first two tournaments in 2011 and 2012 and is therefore the record winner in the singles. Record winners in doubles with also two titles are Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecău .
