The winner in the singles was the un seeded Rajeev Ram , who defeated the third placed Karol Beck in two sets in the final . With the double victory in the previous year, it was Ram's second title in a row at the Bauer Watertechnology Cup. Last year's winner Igor Sijsling did not defend his title this year.
In doubles, Andre Begemann and Alexander Kudrjawzew won the final against the pairing of James Cerretani and Adil Shamasdin, who were in second place, in three sets. It was Begemann's second Challenger title of the season and the sixth of his career. For Kudryawzew it was the sixth title on the Challenger Tour in the 2011 season and the 16th of his career. It was the first and so far only title that the two won together. Defending champion Ram failed with his new partner Dustin Brown in the first round. His partner from last year, Scott Lipsky , did not take part in the tournament at all this year.
The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. In the run-up, the two-time tournament winner Denis Gremelmayr had to cancel his participation in the individual competition due to an injury to his pubic bone . For him, Philipp Oswald moved into the main field.
