Malek Jaziri ( Arabic مالك الجزيري, DMG Mālik al-Ǧazīrī ; * January 20, 1984 in Bizerte ) is a Tunisian tennis player .

Career

Jaziri began his tennis career at the age of five. Jaziri plays a two-handed backhand. His favorite surface is hard court .

In 2000, Jaziri made his debut for the Tunisian Davis Cup team , for which he has since played more than 50 games in singles and doubles. After Jaziri failed to play his quarter-final match against Israeli Amir Weintraub at the Challenger tournament in Tashkent in 2013 , Tunisia was excluded from the Davis Cup 2014 by the ITF due to unsporting behavior . Jaziri had given up the game against Weintraub under the pretext of injury on the instructions of the Tunisian Tennis Association.
