Quarterfinals Weintraub vs. Jaziri

A special incident occurred before Israeli Amir Weintraub's quarter-final match against Tunisian player Malek Jaziri . Before the game, it became known that the Tunisian Tennis Association wrote an email to Jaziri prohibiting him from playing against Weintraub. As could be seen from the mail to Jaziri, this happened after consultation with the Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sport. Ministry spokesman Sadok Touati confirmed the dispatch and content of the mail to Jaziri at the request of the Associated Press. The Tunisian did not play against Weintraub, so the Israeli made it to the semi-finals without a fight.
