Jo'rabek Karimov (born June 4, 1998 in Tashkent ) is an Uzbek tennis player .

Career

Karimov was particularly successful on the ITF Junior Tour. In 2015 and 2016 he played almost every Junior Grand Slam tournament and achieved his best results in 2015 at the Australian Open with the semi-finals and a year later with the finals in the same place. In April 2016, he climbed to 6th place, his best placement in the junior ranking list.

From 2015 Karimov regularly took part in professional tournaments - especially the ITF Future Tour category . This year he was 786 in the tennis world rankings in singles and 490 in doubles. After similar results in 2016, he managed to win his first title in the future category in singles and doubles in 2017. He won two titles in doubles. Another future title was added in 2018. In the individual, he also reached his career high this year with place 426. In doubles he reached the double finals in Qarshi and Tashkent , of which he was able to win the latter with Sanjar Fayziyev . A little later he reached his career high with position 316.

Karimov has also been playing for the Uzbek Davis Cup team since 2016 , where he has so far been 2-1.
