The Sparkassen Open 2011 was a tennis tournament that took place from June 27 to July 3, 2011 in Braunschweig . It was the 18th edition of the tournament and part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2011 and the HEAD German Masters Series 2011 . The game was played outdoors on red sand.

The individual competition won the third placed Lukáš Rosol , who defeated the qualifier Yevgeny Donskoi in the final. Last year's winner Michail Kukuschkin did not defend the title this year. In doubles, the top seeded Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljeström prevailed in the final against the un seeded Olivier Charroin and Stéphane Robert . The winning pairing of last year Leonardo Tavares / Simone Vagnozzi did not compete in this constellation. While Vagnozzi did not take part in the tournament at all, Tavares failed with his new partner Frederico Gil in the semi-finals.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. In the run-up to the doubles competition, there was an injury-related cancellation. Alexander Waske was unable to compete with Michael Kohlmann due to a hip injury . Individual finalist Yevgeny Donskoi with partner Marsel İlhan replaced the pairing in the main draw.
