Career

The right-hander began his professional career in 2002 and has so far won a title on the ATP World Tour with the doubles competition in the Munich tournament in 2009 . In addition, he managed to reach the final of the Sydney singles competition in 2005 , which he lost to Lleyton Hewitt in straight sets . He reached his highest world ranking position in singles with rank 62 in July 2009, in doubles with rank 120 in May 2006.

Davis Cup

Minář has been playing for the Czech Davis Cup team since 2007 . In the 2009 season he reached the final with this, where they clearly lost 5-0 in Barcelona Spain . Minář was only used in the quarterfinals against Argentina , where he was defeated in the last individual encounter against Juan Martín del Potro . In 2012 , the Czech team qualified for the second time for the final, which was held in Prague . Again the opponent was Spain, who this time were defeated 3-2. Minář came back to only one use, again against Argentina. As in 2009, his mission was the last encounter that was already irrelevant for the end result. Against Juan Mónaco he was defeated in two sets, like del Potro. In the final against Spain Minář was in the squad, but was not used. The Czech Republic successfully defended its title in 2013 . Minář was in the first two games against Switzerland and Kazakhstan in the squad, but was not used in any game.
