The Roma Open 2011 was the tenth edition of the tennis clay court tournament in Rome . It was part of the ATP Challenger Tour 2011 and was held from May 2 to 7, 2011.

The field of participants in the individual competition consisted of 32 players, that of the doubles competition consisted of 16 pairs. For the individual tournament, a qualifying round with 30 participants took place in advance, in which four players were able to qualify for the main field. The total prize money for the event was 30,000 euros.

In the run-up, the fourth-placed German Andreas Beck had to withdraw his participation due to back problems. For him, Bastian Knittel moved into the main field as a lucky loser .

The individual won the Italian Simone Bolelli , who moved into the main field via a wildcard . He prevailed in the final against the unseeded Argentine Eduardo Schwank in three sets. This was the sixth individual Challenger title of his career and the first of this season. Last year's winner Federico Delbonis from Argentina did not defend the title.

In the doubles competition, the unseeded Colombian pairing consisting of Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah won the final against the top seeded Santiago González from Mexico and Travis Rettenmaier from the USA in a match tie-break . This was Cabal's ninth and Farah's sixth successes in a Challenger category doubles tournament of their two careers. It was their sixth joint title and their third of the season. Last year's winners Mario Ančić and Ivan Dodig from Croatia both failed to defend their titles.
