David Guez (born December 8, 1982 in Marseille ) is a French tennis player .

Career

Guez mainly plays on the ATP Challenger Tour and the ITF Future Tour . At the better endowed Challenger tournaments, he has so far won three times in singles and once in doubles. He played his first individual on the ATP World Tour in February 2007 at the tournament in his native Marseille . He lost the opening game against his Cyril Saulnier in two sets with 4: 6 and 2: 6. He celebrated his first win in this category in October 2009 when he defeated the American Rajeev Ram in the first round of the Grand Prix de Tennis de Lyon . In the second round he was eliminated from Gilles Simon in two sets. Two weeks later he defeated at the Paris Masters in the first round Stan Wawrinka straight in two sets and faced Gaël Monfils in the second round , who finally reached the final; Guez lost the game 4-6 and 5-7.
