Orchidea De Santis (actually Orchidea De Sanctis ; born December 20, 1948 in Bari ) is an Italian actress .

Life

De Santis tried after the relocation of her family (her father was a naval officer) to Rome as a child spokeswoman for the Radio Rai program and was used in smaller roles in commercial films as early as 1964. Due to her physical attributes and her blonde hair, she was soon a decorative accessory in many films of currently popular, cheaply produced genre fashions, including numerous "sexy comedies". After an accident while filming Arrivano i gatti in 1980, she almost ended her film career - only three appearances for feature films followed.

Instead, she demonstrated her greater talent a few times on the theater stage, if required, alongside Fiorenzo Firentini in Strega Roma or alongside Mario Scaccia in Chicchignola , whose production was very much celebrated.

Since the new millennium, De Santis, who also presented school programs and animal broadcasts, has mainly been active as a lobbyist for animal welfare.

Under her maiden name de Sanctis a single was released on Roch Records in 1972, on which she sings the title Partners .
