BC Queue Hamburg was founded in 1989 and in the same year became a member of the German Billiard Union . In 1994 he reached the final of the German 8-Ball Cup and was there defeated by BSV Deggendorf . In 2003 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . In the 2005/06 season , the club was champions of the second division and thus rose to the 1st Bundesliga , after only narrowly escaping relegation in the previous two years as sixth. In 2006, the BC Queue reached the semi-finals of the 8 Ball Cup.

In the 2006/07 season the BC queue started with a 5: 4 win at home against the defending champion BSV Dachau . After three more wins, the first defeat followed on the fifth matchday at BC Oberhausen . Due to a defeat against BC Sindelfingen on the ninth matchday, the Hamburg team, who had been the leader of the table since the third matchday, fell back to third place. Then they lost the five remaining games of the season and finished sixth at the end of the season - four points ahead of relegated Oberhausen.

In the following season , the start was less successful. After three defeats in the first four games, they finished last in the table (7th place). Then they defeated BC Sindelfingen and twice BSG Osnabrück - BC Queue was the only club that won both games of the season against the eventual German champions - and was able to move up to fourth place. In the second half of the season, however, four of the six games were lost, so that Hamburg finally finished seventh on points with three other teams and relegated to the second division. On the last league weekend they lost to direct competitors Straubing (2: 5) and Dachau (3: 4).

2008–2014: second class and cup win

After relegation, the BC Queue reached second place in the 2008/09 season at the end of the first round. However, the gap to the table leader Hannover 96 and thus to the promotion place was already four points (with the two-point rule applicable at the time ). As in the first half of the season, the club only managed two wins in the second half of the season and ended the season in third place. In October 2009 the club moved into the final of the German 8-Ball Cup for the second time after 1994. In the final, the team of Torsten Bonke , Alexander Dremsizis , Olaf Köster and Jörg Rother prevailed 6-2 against Joker Geldern .

The club started the 2009/10 season with four wins. After a defeat against BSG Osnabrück they lost the championship lead to Osnabrück on the fifth match day and stayed in second place until the end of the season - at the end eight points behind. At the 8-Ball-Pokal 2010 they were eliminated in the quarter-finals against BSC Neukirchen-Vluyn . In the following season , the Hamburg team achieved their first victory on the fourth matchday. In the second half of the season the team only lost one game and was able to advance from sixth to third place. She secured relegation on the last match day with a 5-3 home win against BFC Fortuna Berlin .

On the last day of the first half of the 2011/12 season , Hamburg climbed from last to seventh place with a win against PBC Schipkau . On the eleventh game day they defeated leaders Fortuna Berlin and then finished sixth by the end of the season. The club achieved two more victories this season, including the away win against the already established second division champion PBC Lingen on the last day of the match, through which he managed to stay in the league - one point ahead of relegated Bremen .

For the 2012/13 season , the three-time world champion Oliver Ortmann moved from the reigning German champion BC Oberhausen to BC Queue Hamburg. The team achieved their first win of the season on matchday four. After having finished second in the meantime, the first half of the season ended in fifth place. In the second half of the season, Hamburg won the first five games and secured second place. On the penultimate game day, however, the third defeat of the season against BC Colors Dusseldorf followed , which increased the gap to PBC Hürth-Berrenrath to seven points that could no longer be caught.

In the following season they finished second after the first half of the season, in which they won six of the seven games and only lost against PBC Schwerte 87 . In the second half of the season there was only one more defeat against PBC The Gamblers . On the twelfth day of the game BC Queue took over the table lead with a home win against Schwerte, but lost it again on the last day of the game when he drew against the PBC Lingen, while Schwerte won against Kohlscheid .

2014–2017: return to the first division

In the summer of 2014, the German 9-ball master Marco Spitzky moved back to Hamburg after two years at PBC The Gamblers. In the 2014/15 season , BC Queue won all 14 league games and thus managed to return to the 1st Bundesliga after seven years. He secured promotion on the tenth game day with a 7-1 home win against PBSG Wolfsburg . With Oliver Ortmann, Mario Stahl and Marco Spitzky, three Hamburgers were among the top four players in the individual ranking.

On the second match day of the 2015/16 season , the Hamburg team achieved their first Bundesliga victory after being promoted to Hürth-Berrenrath. After finishing fourth, they finished the first half of the season with three wins and four defeats in sixth place, where they remained until the end of the season. In the second half of the season, the team achieved two more wins and two draws. She secured relegation on the penultimate matchday with a 5-3 away win against Fortuna Straubing . In the individual classification, Marco Spitzky took second place.

For the following season , the multiple Dutch champion and 10-ball vice European champion from 2014 , Ivo Aarts , was signed. Jan-Henrik Wolf , the third-best Hamburg of the previous season, however, moved to the German champions BSV Dachau. BC Queue started the season with a home win against newly promoted PBC Sankt Augustin . However, he then remained without a win until the end of the first half of the season and finished fifth with seven points. At the beginning of the second half of the season, Hamburg won against PBC Schwerte. On the penultimate league weekend they secured their place in the league with away wins against Karben and Straubing and climbed to fourth place. By the end of the season, home defeats against BSV Fürstenfeldbruck and the already established German champions Dachau followed, so that they finally came in sixth.

Since 2017: present

In the summer of 2017, the BC Queue lost its home ground in Hamburg-Bramfeld . The operator of the billiard café Q-Point , which had served as a venue for over 20 years, announced the BC Queue at the end of August 2017. The club therefore planned a new club house and no longer registered for the 1st Bundesliga. The clubhouse in Tonndorf was moved into in September 2017. The first team took over the starting position of the second team in the 2nd Bundesliga for the 2017/18 season.
