The BSG Osnabrück (officially: Billard Sport Gemeinschaft Osnabrück eV ) is a billiard club from Osnabrück . The club's first pool team became German champions in 2008 .

history

BSG Osnabrück became German cup winners in 2005 by beating Fortuna Bexbach in the final . A year later, the club managed to successfully defend its title in the final against the PBC Joker Geldern . In the 2006/07 season , Osnabrück managed to move up to the 1st Bundesliga as champions of the 2nd Bundesliga . In its first first division season , the club was two points ahead of PBC Berrenrath and BC Sindelfingen German champions. A year later , however, they were relegated to seventh place in the 2nd Bundesliga. In the 2009/10 season they reached the unbeaten first place and thus managed to get back up. In 2011 Osnabrück finished fourth in the Bundesliga. In the following two seasons, being sixth, they narrowly escaped relegation before finishing eighth in 2014 with just three points and thus relegated to the second division. In the 2014/15 season they finished second, 20 points behind BC Queue Hamburg . In the following season , BSG Osnabrück again missed promotion to the first division in second place, but now only two points behind PBC Sankt Augustin .

The second team of BSG Osnabrück rose in 2011 to the regional league. After finishing third in the 2011/12 season, she was withdrawn to the league. There she reached first place in 2015 and second place in 2013 and 2016.
