The Pool Billard Club Fortuna Bexbach 1978 eV (short: PBC Fortuna Bexbach ) is a billiards club from Bexbach founded in 1978 .
history
PBC Fortuna Bexbach was founded in 1978. In 2005 he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga and reached the final of the German 8-Ball Cup , but lost it to BSG Osnabrück . In the second division he was fourth in 2006 and 2007 and missed promotion to the 1st Bundesliga in 2008 with second place, two points behind promoted Kurpfalz . The club achieved this with first place in the 2008/09 season . In the first division, however , the club came in seventh place in 2009/10 and thus directly relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. Fortuna Bexbach was fifth there in 2011 and sixth in 2012 , before the team was canceled during the 2012/13 season . After the club had not participated in the game for over a year, the first team has been playing in the sixth class national league since 2014.
At times Fortuna Bexbach also had a snooker team that became champions of the 2nd Bundesliga in 2005 and was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga , in which, however, with seventh place in the 2005/06 season , the direct relegation followed.
In 1984 , Albert Leibenguth became the first Fortuna Bexbach player to become German individual champions . In 1987 he succeeded again. Ralf Wack was a player in the German men's championship in 1990 and 2003 and in the senior class in 2010 and 2011 . In 2007 , Daniel Schwerdtfeger was the last time a PBC Fortuna Bexbach player won the German men's championship. In addition, Hans Jürgen Bins , Jörg Kohl , Frank Leist , Heiko Müller , Wolfgang Siethoff and Sebastian Staab played for Fortuna Bexbach.
