The 1st pool billiard club Joker Geldern 76 e. V. , or 1st PBC Joker Geldern for short , was a billiards club from Geldern . The club, which was founded in 1976, played for several years in the 1st Bundesliga and became German runner-up in 2004 . In 2015 the three-time cup finalist merged with BSC Neukirchen-Vluyn to form BSC Neukirchen / Geldern .

In 2011 Huidji See became a member of the 10-ball world champion club .

The 1st PBC Joker Geldern was founded in 1976 in Geldern . In 1989 , Harald Schröter became the first player in the Association of German Masters in singles . In the 1998/99 season , the PBC Joker achieved third place, his best ranking in the 1st Bundesliga . In the following season he repeated this placement, defeating, among other things, the defending champion PBC Fulda . 2001 Brian Naithani became Junior World Champion .

In the 2002/03 season , Joker Geldern was fourth. At the German 8-Ball Cup , the club moved into the final for the first time in 2003 and lost to Astoria Walldorf . At the end of the first half of the 2003/04 season , the PBC Joker finished second with four wins, three draws and one defeat against promoted BC Oberhausen . Then they remained six games without a win, including a draw against the already established German champions Fulda on the twelfth game day, and fell back to third place. Only on the last day of the match did they win against PBV Rotes Tuch Berlin , which brought them back to second place and became runner-up.

In the following season , the club won only two games in the first half of the season . After a home win against PBC Düren-Nord on the third game day, he was nine games in a row without a win. Only on the last match day did he win again, again against Düren-Nord, and secured himself relegation with sixth place. In the 2005/06 season they ended the first half of the season with just one win in fifth place. With three victories in the second half of the season, they were able to secure their place in the league on matchday 12 and fight for fourth place, but at the end of the season they came in fifth again. In 2006, Joker Geldern again reached the final of the German 8-Ball Cup and was defeated by BSG Osnabrück . In the 2006/07 season , the club lost all 14 league games and won only 19 individual games. The relegation to the second division was clear after the ninth game day, when Geldern lost 7-1 to BSV Pfullingen and the gap to sixth place increased to twelve points.

In the 2nd Bundesliga North 2007/08 they only just escaped relegation. On the last day of the match, despite a 5-3 win against PBC Schwerte, they fell from fifth to sixth place, tied for points and games with relegated PBC Lingen . In the following season , the PBC Joker was fifth. He secured relegation on the twelfth match day with a home win against BC Bergedorf . In October 2009, the club moved into the final of the German 8-Ball Cup for the third time. As in 2003 and 2006, however, they lost. The team made up of Dennis Jansen , Peter Jansen , Michael Kasper , Ralf Mrnka and Sascha Rath had to admit defeat to BC Queue Hamburg 2: 6.

In the following two seasons, they just managed to stay in sixth place. In the 2009/10 season they left the relegation zone only on the last day of the game with a win against Fortuna Berlin , and a year later they secured the league stay on the last day of the game with a draw against local rivals Joker Kamp-Lintfort . At the end of the 2011 season you had to do without Huidji See , who took part in the 10-ball World Cup and was world champion on the day of relegation. In the 2011/12 season , the PBC Joker started five wins from the first six games and, at the end of the first half of the season, finished first with Fortuna Berlin, tied on points. In the second half of the season, however, he only won one game and missed the return to the first division as runner-up.

In the 2012/13 season they left after a mixed season start on the seventh game day with the first victory, the direct relegation places. With four wins and two draws in the second half of the season, they fought their way up to third place. Relegation had already been secured on the twelfth match day. In the following season , the league was not managed until the last match day, when the PBC Joker Geldern defeated direct rivals BC Colors Düsseldorf 6-2 and thus rose from seventh to fourth place.

For the 2014/15 season , the multiple Dutch champion Marco Teutscher was signed , who had already played for Joker Geldern in the 2009/10 season, but at that time in the second team. He replaced his compatriot Huidji See, who moved to the regional league team PBV Young Guns Krefeld . After the first half of the season, the PBC Joker was fourth with three wins and two draws and was already ten points behind the table leaders BC Queue Hamburg. In the second half of the season they improved to third place with the same record. Relegation was only secured on the last day of the match with a home win against PBC The Gamblers . Michau Jablonski , Dennis Jansen, Aziz Moussati , Nikko Springer , Marco Teutscher and, as a substitute, Roy Gerards played in the first team .

In the summer of 2015, the PBC Joker Geldern merged with the BSC Neukirchen-Vluyn . The resulting BSC Neukirchen / Geldern took over the second division starting place from Joker Geldern for the 2015/16 season .

The second team of the 1st PBC Joker Geldern reached third place in the Oberliga Niederrhein in the 2009/10 season. She then finished fourth in 2011 and sixth in 2012, before narrowly missing out on promotion to the regional league in 2013 with second place. The team finished fourth in the 2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons.
