Marco Teutscher (born February 1, 1992 ) is a Dutch pool player .

Career

His best placement at the European Youth Championships was fifth, which he achieved in 2008 in the 9-ball competition for students, in 2009 in 14/1 endless and in 2010 in 10-ball for juniors.

In 2010 Teutscher was nominated by the Dutch Association for the first time as a Men's European Champion , but he did not reach the final round in any of the four disciplines. At the EM 2012 he made it to the round of 16 of the 14/1 endless competition and was defeated by Konrad Piekarski from Poland . In August 2012 he finished fifth at the Benelux Open. On the Euro Tour he reached the finals at the Austria Open for the first time in May 2013 , where he was eliminated in the round of 16 against Phil Burford . A month later, Teutscher was ninth at the Deurne City Classic.

In January 2014 he finished fifth at the Longoni Capelle Open and the 9-ball mini-tournament of the Derby City Classic . At the EM 2014 he reached the round of 16 in 14/1 endlessly. At the 9-ball world championship in 2014 he was eliminated in the round of 32 against Li Hewen after defeating defending champion Thorsten Hohmann 11: 9. In October 2014 he reached a Euro Tour round of 16 for the second time at the Dutch Open .

In January 2015 Teutscher won the 9-ball mini competition of the Derby City Classic in the final against the Mexican Rubén Bautista . At the 10-Ball World Championship in 2015 he reached the round of 64. A few days later he made it to the quarter-finals of a Euro Tour tournament at the Italian Open for the first time, in which he lost 7: 9 to Karl Boyes . At the EM 2015 he reached the quarter-finals in two disciplines. In 14/1 he lost to the later European champion, his compatriot Nick van den Berg , in 9-ball he lost to Karol Skowerski from Poland . At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2015 , he was eliminated in the round of 64 against Wojciech Szewczyk .

In April 2016 he reached the round of 16 in the 10-ball at the European Championship . A few days later, he won his first Euro Tour medal at the Austrian Open , after being eliminated in the semifinals against the Swiss Ronald Regli .

In the 2014/15 season Teutscher played with the 1st PBC Joker Geldern in the 2nd Bundesliga . Joker Geldern then merged with BSC Neukirchen-Vluyn to form BSC Neukirchen / Geldern , with whom he will play in the second division in the 2015/16 season .

Teutscher has so far participated in the World Cup of Pool once. Together with Huidji See , he was eliminated in the first round in 2011 against the Thais Nitiwat Kanjanasri and Kobkit Palajin .
