Kobkit Palajin

Kobkit Palajin (born August 15, 1980 , Thai กอบ กิจ พ ลา จิ ณ ) is a Thai pool and snooker player .

Career

In 2004, Kobkit Palajin first attracted international attention when he reached the final of the U21 World Snooker Championship . In this, however, he was defeated by the Englishman Gary Wilson with 5:11. In 2005 and 2006 Kobkit Palajin was vice Asian champion of the U-21 juniors , where he had lost in the final to Moh Keen Hoo and his compatriot Passakorn Suwannawat . In April 2005 Kobkit Palajin reached the finals of a world ranking tournament for the first time at the China Open , but lost in the round of 32 against Marco Fu . In July 2013 Kobkit Palajin reached the quarter-finals in the 9-ball competition of the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games , but lost 6: 9 to the eventual winner of the tournament, Ko Pin-yi . At the Yixing Open 2014 he reached the main round again and was eliminated in the first round against John Higgins .

Together with Nitiwat Kanjanasri , Kobkit Palajin formed the Thai team twice at the World Cup of Pool . After they reached the final in 2011 , in which they were defeated by the Germans Ralf Souquet and Thorsten Hohmann , they were eliminated in the second round in 2012 . In December 2006 Kobkit Palajin reached the quarterfinals of the Asian Games with the Thai snooker team .
