The 4th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games took place from June 29th to July 6th in Incheon , South Korea .
history
The ongoing Korean crisis had no impact on the event. Originally, however, Doha in Qatar was planned as the venue after the country canceled the last edition of the Asian Indoor Games in 2011. The OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) then nominated Incheon as a replacement. The event was also considered a test event for the 2014 Asian Games .
For the first time, the Asian Indoor Games and the Asian Martial Arts Games were combined in one event. Previous dates were:
- Asian indoor games
- 2005 in Bangkok , Thailand
- 2007 in Macau , People's Republic of China
- 2009 in Hanoi , Vietnam
- 2011 canceled
- Asian Martial Arts Games
- 2009 in Bangkok, Thailand
Venues
There were a total of nine venues in Korea:
- Incheon : Samsan World High School - Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Dance and esports ;
- Anyang : Hogye High School - Bowling ;
- Songdo : Global University Campus - Futsal ;
- Dongbu Student High School - Futsal ;
- Sangnoksu : High School - Indoor Kabaddi and Kurash (wrestling);
- Dowon : Aquatics Center - swimming short course (25m);
- Songdo : Convensia - billiards ;
- Yonsei : International Campus - Chess and Baduk ( Go )
- Dowon : High School - Kickboxing and Muay Thai
Competitions
A total of 100 medals were awarded in 12 sports.

Participating Nations
All 45 member states of the OCA (Olympic Council of Asia) were invited to take part in these games, 43 countries took part in this edition of the games. North Korea and East Timor refrained from sending their athletes to these games. The numbers in brackets indicate the number of athletes in each country.
