World Cup of Pool 2012

When World Cup of Pool 2012 it was the seventh edition of annually since 2006, taking place 9-Ball - Pool tournament , is represented in which each participating country by a team of two players. In 2012 it took place in Robinsons Place in Manila , Philippines from September 4th to 9th.

The game was played with a winner's break. This means that the team has the right to kick-off that the previous game has also won.

It was played up to the round of 16, until a team had won eight games ( racks ), in the quarter and semi-finals the number of wins required was increased to nine and in the final to ten.

Furthermore, a so-called shot clock was used, which does not allow the players to wait longer than 35 seconds with their shot. However, once per rack you had the option to announce an extension , which gave you 35 seconds more time for the push.

The total prize money paid out was US $ 250,000 , of which US $ 60,000 went to the winning team.
