Bruno Muratore (born October 17, 1967 in Rome ) is an Italian pool player .

Career

His greatest successes to date include reaching the quarter-finals of the 8-Ball World Cup in 2008 as well as a victory ( Costa del Sol Open 2007 in Málaga ) and a second place ( Italy Open 2008 in Castel Volturno ) on the Euro Tour . He is also a six-time Italian champion.

He could not convince at his debut at the 9-Ball World Cup 2007 where he was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round. At the first official 10-ball World Cup in 2008 , however, he made it to the round of 32. At the European Championship in 2008 he won the bronze medal in 9-ball after he was eliminated in the semifinals against eventual European champion Stephan Cohen .

Muratore has taken part in the World Cup of Pool six times and formed the Italian team with Fabio Petroni . After a first round defeat in 2007 , they reached the quarter-finals in 2008 and the second round in 2009 , 2010 and 2011 . In 2012 they moved into the quarter-finals again, in which they lost to the Poles Karol Skowerski and Wojciech Szewczyk . In 2013 they reached the round of 16.

With the Italian national Muratore took in 2010 at the World Cup in part, but when this was eliminated in the preliminary round.

Since 2012 Muratore plays the first PBC Huerth-Berrenrath with which he in 2013 in the first Bundesliga rise.

His nickname in the pool scene is Iceman .
