The European Pocket Billiard Federation ( EPBF for short ) is the European umbrella organization for all areas of pool billiards . The association founded in November 1978 is subordinate to the World Pool Billiard Association , the world association for pool billiards. The association takes care of the needs of the disciplines pool billiards, blackball , Russian pyramid , artistic pool and all other pool-like disciplines.

The main tasks of the EPBF are the standardization of rules and the organization of tournaments. The European pool billiards championship has been held annually since 1980 and the Euro Tour since 1992 .

Member States

The only founding members of the EPBF in 1978 were the Deutsche Billard-Union (DBU) and Svenska Biljardförbundet (SBF). As early as 1980, Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein and the Netherlands were the first of the more than 30 member states today. The EPBF represents around 800,000 athletes across Europe.
