The Real Federación Español de Billar (RFEB) is the national Spanish umbrella organization for billiards and is affiliated to the European Confédération Européenne de Billard (CEB).
history
The association was founded in Madrid in 1926, at that time as a pure collision association to organize and channel the "noble sport". The founding associations included:
- Club Billiards Barcelona
- Club Billiards Vizcaya
- Club billiards Valencia
- Club Billiards Madrid
The following was elected to the first board:
- President: D. Raimund Vives
- Vice-President: Mr. Antonio Iglesias
- Secretary: D. Leopoldo Morquillas
- Vice Secretary: D. Ruiz Flores
The first Spanish billiards championship was held in the same year. In 1931 the first three-cushion world championship was organized , which was won by the Spaniard Enrique Miró . Further world championships followed in 1958, 2003 and 2005. Spain was also the host of several three-cushion World Cups , the first on La Palma in 1988, and others followed.
In all the years that the Spanish Billiards Federation has existed, it has produced many players who have won several European and world titles. In 1998, the Board of Directors of the Spanish Federation, with Fernando Requena Vitales as President, submitted an application to the royal family to change the name of the federation to a royal association with the name “Real Federación Español de Billar”, the monarch gave his Approval.

The tasks of the RFEB include organizing various tournaments, including:
- National Spanish Three Cushion Championship
- Spanish Grand Prix
- Government Cup
In cooperation with the continental association CEB
- European championships
In cooperation with the world association UMB :
- World championships
- Three cushion world cup
He also takes care of the participation of his players in the World Games .
