Francisco Díaz-Pizarro (born May 27, 1977 ) is a Spanish pool player .

Career

In November 2001 Díaz-Pizarro won a tournament on the Joss Northeast Tour for the first time . He won his first Euro Tour medal at the Swiss Open in 2006 after losing to Tony Drago from Malta in the semi-finals . In July 2008 he won the Lugo Open. At the Costa del Sol Open 2009 he lost in the semifinals against the eventual winner of the tournament, the Englishman Mark Gray . In 2010 he lost in the finals of the Costa Blanca Open against Englishman Darren Appleton 6-8 . At the 8-ball world championship in 2012 he reached the sixteenth finals. A month later he reached the 8-ball semi-finals at the European championship , which he lost 7: 8 against the later European champion Mario He and became 9-ball European champion with a 9: 4 final victory against the Swede Marcus Chamat . At the China Open in 2012 he reached 33rd place.
