Karlo Dalmatin (born July 30, 1980 ) is a Croatian pool player .

Career

singles

In March 2009, at the Italy Open , Dalmatin made it into the final round of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time , but was eliminated in the round of 32 against Ralf Souquet . At the Portugal Open 2009 he reached the quarter-finals, which he lost 8: 9 to eventual tournament winner Daryl Peach . In April 2010 he took part in the European Championship for the first time in Zagreb . There he finished in the 14/1 endlessly 65th place. After reaching the round of 16 at the Italy Open 2010 , he took part in the 9-ball world championship for the first time in June 2010 , where he was eliminated in the round of 64 against Christian Reimering . In August 2010 he reached the quarter-finals of the Finland Open .

In February 2011, Dalmatin reached the round of 16 of the 8-Ball World Cup , in which he lost 4-9 to the Iranian Takhti Zarekani . At the 2011 European Championships , he came in 33rd place in 9-ball and 10-ball . At the 10-Ball World Cup 2011 he was eliminated in the round of 64 against Dang Jinhu , at the 9-Ball World Cup 2011 he lost in the round of sixteen against eventual world champion Yukio Akakariyama . In March 2012, Dalmatin made it into the finals of the European Championship for the first time. He reached the sixteenth finals in 14/1 and endlessly in 10-ball. On the Euro Tour in 2012 he reached the round of 16 of the Austria Open and the quarter-finals of the European Open .

After becoming German champion with BC Oberhausen in 2013, Dalmatin moved to second division club PBC Schwerte 87 , with whom he was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga in 2014 and became German champion in 2015 .

So far, Dalmatin has participated in the World Cup of Pool five times . After he was eliminated in the first round with Philipp Stojanovic in 2010 , he and Ivica Putnik formed the Croatian team in 2011 , which lost again in the first round. Also in the following years he was eliminated in the first round; 2012 together with Stojanovic and 2013 and 2014 with Putnik.

With the Croatian national team, he retired in 2010 and 2012 in the preliminary round of the Team World Cup .
