Portugal Open 2009

The Diamond Nine / Dynamic Portugal Open 2009 was the 102nd tournament in the Euro-Tour pool billiards tournament series . They were played from October 14th to 17th, 2009 in Porto in the 9-ball discipline .

The winner was Daryl Peach from England , who beat his compatriot Imran Majid 9: 8 in the final. For Majid it was, after the Netherlands Open , the second Euro Tour final defeat in a row. Ralf Souquet , the best German of the tournament, lost 6: 9 in the semifinals against Majid.

From the round of 16, the games were played in the knockout system . The 16 participants in these rounds were determined in a double knockout system .
