The Diamond Nine / Dynamic Billard Austrian Open in 2017 were the 149th Tournament of 9-Ball - Pool Billiard Tournament Series Euro tour . They took place from May 18 to 20, 2017 in the Alpina, Wellness & Sporthotel in St. Johann im Pongau . A Euro Tour tournament was held in Austria for the 18th time and in St. Johann for the eighth time.

The Austrian Mario He defeated the Spaniard Francisco Sánchez 9-2 in the final and won a Euro Tour tournament for the second time after the North Cyprus Open in 2016 . Third place went to Albin Ouschan and Joshua Filler . The defending champion was England's Mark Gray , who was eliminated in the round of 32 against Sánchez. The Dutchman Nick van den Berg , who won the previous Euro Tour tournament with the Portugal Open 2017 , lost to Sánchez in the quarter-finals.
