Andrei Wiktorowitsch Seroshtan ( Russian Андрей Викторович Сероштан ; English transcription: Andrey Seroshtan ; born September 28, 1995 ) is a Russian pool player . He became the Russian champion in the 10-ball discipline in 2017 .

In 2011 Andrei Seroshtan won the bronze medal in the 10-ball at the European Schoolchildren’s Championship . At the end of the year he won his first two medals at the Russian men's championship when he reached the semifinals in the 10-ball and 9-ball competitions, but was eliminated there by Ruslan Tschinachow and Vitaly Pavluchin . At the Junior European Championship in 2012 , he became vice European champion in 9-ball after a 6: 8 final defeat against José Delgado . A year later he reached the final in the 8-ball and 9-ball disciplines. A few days after losing the 8-ball final against Daniel Tångudd , he became European Junior Champion in 9-ball with an 8-2 win against Daniel Schneider from Switzerland . At the Junior World Championship in 2013 , he was eliminated in the preliminary round.

In January 2014 Seroshtan finished ninth in the Bankpool mini-event at the Derby City Classic . At the Kremlin Cup 2014 he reached the last sixteen, in which he was eliminated against Ruslan Tschinachow. In November 2014 he reached the semi-finals in 10-ball and the final in 9-ball at the Russian championship , where he had not won a medal in the previous two years. He lost both games to Tschinachow. A few days later, at the Treviso Open , he made it into the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time . Then he defeated Damianos Giallourakis and Stephan Cohen , before he was eliminated in the quarterfinals with 1: 9 against the eventual tournament winner Nick van den Berg . In 2015 he reached the round of 16 at the Kremlin Cup and was only marginally defeated by former world champion Thorsten Hohmann 7: 8. In April 2016 he took part in the European Championship for the first time and reached the round of 16 in 8-Ball, in which he was eliminated 6-8 against Niels Feijen . At the Austrian Open, which took place after the European Championships, he was defeated by Poland's Wiktor Zieliński in the round of 16 . In November 2016 he reached the round of 32 at the Kremlin Cup and the Treviso Open.A few days later he won bronze in the disciplines 14/1 endless and 10-ball and, after defeating Ruslan Tschinachow in the final, silver in the Russian championship the disciplines 8-ball and 9-ball.

At the World Chinese 8-Ball Masters 2017 he finished 25th. In March he reached the round of 32 in 9-ball at the 2017 European Championships , in which he was defeated by Marcus Chamat . At the Austrian Open 2017 he made it into a Euro Tour final round for the fourth time. However, he had to admit defeat to his compatriot Konstantin Stepanov in the sixteenth finals . In his five other Euro Tour participations of the year, he was eliminated in the preliminary round, as well as in the Kremlin Cup 2017 . In November 2017, he won three medals at the Russian championship . After he had finished third in the 14/1, he moved into the finals of a national championship for the fifth time in the 10-ball competition. In the final he defeated Fyodor Gorst 8: 5 and was the first Russian champion. Then he also reached the final in 9-Ball, in which he was defeated by Konstantin Stepanow 5: 9.

With the Russian national school team, Seroschtan was third in the European Championship in 2009 and 2010 and vice-European champion in 2011 after a final defeat against Germany. In 2012 he was with the junior team, again in the final against Germany, vice European champion.

At the Team World Cup , Seroshtan was part of the Russian team in 2014 and reached the round of 16 with her. In 2016 he was with the Russian national team after a final defeat against Germany, vice European champion, but remained in the tournament without a commitment.
