Ruslan Jurjewitsch Tschinachow ( Russian Руслан Юрьевич Чинахов ; English transcription: Ruslan Chinakhov ; born January 25, 1992 in Moscow ) is a Russian pool player . In 2017 he became European champion in the 9-ball discipline . Before that, he had become vice European 9-ball champion in 2009 and reached the semi-finals of the 8-ball world championship in 2010 .

In March 2006 Tschinachow missed the 8-ball competition of the men's European championship with a 5-8 defeat against Jan Dulst just barely making it into the final round. In August 2006 he became European student champion in the 14/1 endless and 9-ball disciplines by winning the final against Andy Fuchs and Dominic Jentsch . He also won the European Championship title with the Russian school team. At the men's European Championship 2007 , the then 15-year-old Tschinachow reached the quarter-finals in the 8-ball competition. After defeating Tomasz Kapłan and Nikos Ekonomopoulos , among others , he lost there 3: 8 to the former 9-ball world champion Oliver Ortmann . In the 9-ball competition he was eliminated in the round of 64 against his compatriot Konstantin Stepanow . At the 2007 European Schoolchildren Championship he won the bronze medal in 9-ball and the gold medal with the team. In September 2007, he made it into the finals for the first time at the Netherlands Open when he took part in a Euro Tour tournament for the second time. Then he defeated Martin Larsen , Ralf Souquet and Daryl Peach , before he was eliminated in the semifinals with 8:10 against the eventual tournament winner Imran Majid . At the following Euro Tour tournament, the Swiss Open 2007 , he was eliminated in the quarter-finals against eventual winner Mark Gray . In the Russian championship in 2007 he reached the final in 8-ball and lost 6-7 against Konstantin Solotilow .

In April 2008 Tschinachow took part for the first time in a men's world championship. At the 8-Ball World Cup , he reached the round of 32, in which he was eliminated with 4:10 against Bruno Muratore . A little later he reached the sixteenth finals of the German Open and the quarter finals of the Austrian Open . In August 2008, with a 75:55 final victory over Ivar Saris, he became the European school student champion in 14/1 for the second time . He did not take part in the men's EM , which took place at the same time . At the Netherlands Open 2008 he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Ralf Souquet. In October 2008 he reached the round of 64 at the first ever 10-ball world championship , in which he was defeated by Taiwanese Ko Pin-yi 2: 9. A month later he reached the final of the Russian championship in the 14/1 and 8-ball disciplines, where he met Konstantin Stepanow. After he had to admit defeat to Stepanov with 21: 100 in the 14/1, Tschinachow prevailed in 8-Ball with 7: 5 and became Russian champion for the first time.

In March 2009 he became Junior World Champion with an 11: 8 final win against Englishman Phil Burford . In April he made it into the final of the men's European championship 9-ball competition for the first time and was only marginally defeated by Dutchman Nick van den Berg 8: 9. A few weeks later he retired from the World Pool Masters , to which he was invited for the first time, in the round of 16 with 1: 8 against Ralf Souquet. Shortly afterwards he reached the round of 16 at the German Open and the round of 32 at the Philippines Open . At the 2009 European Junior Championships , he won the title in 14/1 endlessly against Dominic Jentsch in the final. A little later he reached the round of 16 at the Austrian Open . At the Russian championship in 2009 he won the bronze medal in the disciplines 8-ball and 14/1 endlessly and, with a 9: 6 win over Yegor Plischkin , the gold medal in 9-ball. At the end of the year he reached the quarter-finals at the 10-Ball World Cup , where he was defeated 6: 9 by the eventual world champion Mika Immonen .

At the EM 2010 Tschinachow won the bronze medal in 9-Ball after he was eliminated in the semifinals 6: 9 against Mateusz Śniegocki . His best result on the Euro Tour in 2011 was reaching the quarter-finals of the Hungary Open , which he lost 7: 8 to Markus Buck . At the Russian championship 2011 he was the first time Russian 10-ball champion with a 7-0 final win against Sergei Nikitin . At the beginning of 2013 Tschinachow reached the quarter-finals of the Italy Open and lost 8: 9 against Dimitri Jungo . At the EM 2013 he reached the quarter-finals in 8-ball, in which he was eliminated by Jim Chawki , and in 9-ball in the second round. A few weeks later he moved into the final of the Swedish 10-Ball Open and was defeated by the Swede Chawki. In September 2013 he reached the round of 64 in his first participation in the 9-ball world championship , in which he was eliminated by Muhammad Zulfikiri . At the Italian Open 2017 he made it into the final for the first time on the Euro Tour, in which he had to admit defeat to the German Ralf Souquet 5: 9. At the EM 2017 he was knocked out in the 14/1 endlessly in the preliminary round. He then reached the quarter-finals in 10-ball and 8-ball, before moving into the final for the second time after 2009 in 9-ball. There he defeated the Swiss Ronald Regli after a 7-0 lead 11: 6 and became the first Russian 9-ball European champion. In the 9-ball competition of the World Games 2017 , for which he was qualified as a European Championship finalist, he was eliminated in the first round at 10:11 against New Zealander Matthew Edwards . A little later, he won a Euro Tour tournament for the first time with the Dutch Open . In the final he had defeated the German Christoph Reintjes 9: 4. At the Kremlin Cup 2017 he reached the round of 32, in which he narrowly lost to Petri Makkonen (7: 8). Tschinachow has so far participated in the World Cup of Pool nine times and formed the Russian team with Konstantin Stepanow . After they were eliminated in the first round in 2007 , they reached the round of 16 in 2008 , 2009 and 2010 . In 2011 the first round followed again. In 2013 they reached the round of 16. In 2014 they won 7: 6 in the first round against the Japanese Hayato Hijikata and Masaaki Tanaka and then lost to the Americans Shane van Boening and Earl Strickland 5: 7 in the round of 16 . In 2015 they were eliminated in the first round against the Filipinos Carlo Biado and Warren Kiamco . In 2017 they lost in the round of 16 against eventual tournament winners Mario He and Albin Ouschan .

With the Russian national team Tschinachow was 2013 EM -Dritter and 2016 , according to a 1: 2-final defeat by Germany, European Vice Champion. At the Team World Cup he was twice part of the Russian team, with which he reached the semi-finals in 2010 and the second round in 2014 .
