Phil Burford (born December 11, 1990 ) is an English pool player .

Career

Phil Burford was British Youth Champion in 2005 and was in the British youth national team from 2005 to 2008. In 2008 he was European Junior Champion in 9-Ball . He won his first medal on the Euro Tour at the Swiss Open 2008 , where he lost in the semifinals to eventual tournament winner Ralf Souquet . At the 2009 Junior World Championships, he finished second. In 2010 he won a tournament on the Great Britain 9-Ball Tour for the first time in Daventry . In 2012 he was able to win this tournament again. In 2012 he also won the Steinway 10-Ball Open , the Richard Sweeps Memorial and two tournaments on the Mezz Tour and one tournament on the Joss Tour . On the Euro-Tour he won the bronze medal at the Italy Open in 2012 , after being eliminated in the semifinals against eventual tournament winner Dominic Jentsch . In 2013 he again won two tournaments on the GB 9-Ball Tour. At the Treviso Open 2013 he achieved his greatest success to date on the Euro Tour; he finished second after losing 5-9 to Nick van den Berg in the final .
