Jim Chawki (born March 9, 1993 in Gothenburg ) is a Swedish pool player . In 2013 he became Vice- European Champion .

Career

At the 2010 European Championships , Chawki reached the quarter-finals in 9-ball and the last 16 in 14/1 endlessly . At the Interpool 9-Ball Open he finished fifth a few weeks later. In the 9-ball world championship, however, he was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round. In July 2010, Chawki won bronze in 10-ball at the European Junior Championships and was European champion in 8-ball in the final against Manuel Ederer .

At the EM 2011 Chawki reached the round of 32 endlessly in 14/1. After finishing third at the Interpool 9-ball Open in June, he became 10-ball junior European champion by beating Alain Da Costa in the final . In December 2011 he reached the finals of a Euro Tour tournament for the first time at the Treviso Open , but he was defeated by Radosław Babica from Poland in the last sixteen .

At the EM 2012 Chawki reached the round of 16 in the 14/1 endlessly and was eliminated in the 8-ball and 10-ball in the sixteenth finals. In March 2013, Chawki finished fifth at the Interpool 9-Ball Open. In April he managed to move into the 8-ball final of the European Championship . However, he lost this against David Alcaide with 4: 8, in the 10-Ball Chawki reached the second round. In May he was eliminated in the round of 16 of the Austria Open against Alcaide, in July he won the Swedish 10-Ball Open in the final against Ruslan Tschinachow .

In 2010 , Chawki was part of the Swedish team that was eliminated in the team's World Cup in the round of 16.
