Wang Can (born February 10, 1994 ) is a Chinese pool player .

Career

In 2008 Wang took part in a world championship for the first time. At the 10-Ball World Cup , however, he was eliminated without a win in the preliminary round. In 2011 he finished ninth at the China Open , and in 2012 he was fifth. In October 2012, Wang finished ninth at the Johnny Archer Classic , fourth at the Championship Cloth Pro Classic and 13th at the US Open .

In May 2013, Wang Can came in 33rd place at the China Open. At the Ultimate 10-Ball Championship he lost in the final against Mika Immonen from Finland . He finished seventh at the Souqthern Classic in June 2013, ninth at the West Coast Challenge in One Pocket , and seventh in 10-Ball . In July 2013, he also finished fifth at the Hard Times 10-Ball Open and finished 17th at the 8-Ball US Open. In August 2013, he just missed making it into the finals at the World 14.1 Tournament with 17th place. At the 9-ball World Cup in September 2013 he reached the round of 64, in which he was eliminated against the Greek Nikos Ekonomopoulos . At the US Open 9-Ball 2013 , Wang finished 17th. In December 2013, he reached a final on the Predator Pro-Am Tour for the first time. However, he lost this to Earl Strickland .

At the 2014 Derby City Classic , Wang Can finished seventh in the bank pool and 30th in 9-ball . In January he finished second in the Predator Pro-Am Tour for the second time. A few days after the Derby City Classic, he won a tournament in this series for the only time so far. At the China Open 2014 , Wang reached the final round. In the sixteenth finals, however, he was defeated by the German Thorsten Hohmann . At the 9-ball World Cup he was eliminated in the round of 64 against the Filipino Warren Kiamco . In November 2014, he first took part in the World Pool Masters , where he lost to Karol Skowerski in the round of 16 .

In February 2015, Wang reached the second round of the Chinese 8-Ball World Championship and the sixteenth-finals of the 10-Ball World Championship . In September 2015 he made it into the final round of the 9-ball world championship for the third time in a row . After victories against Tōru Kuribayashi and Ruslan Tschinachow he finally reached the second round, in which he was defeated by his compatriot Wu Jiaqing with 9:11.

Wang Can took part in the World Cup of Pool once. In 2014 he formed the Chinese doubles with Dang Jinhu . They reached the quarter-finals, in which they were defeated by the Austrians Albin Ouschan and Mario He . At the 2014 Team World Cup , Wang and the second Chinese team won the final against the Philippines.
