The China Open 2014 (officially: Pudong Tangcheng World 9-Ball China Open 2014 ) was a pool tournament in the 9-ball discipline that took place from June 1-8 , 2014 at the Pudong Yuanshen Stadium in Shanghai , People's Republic of China .

The men's tournament was won by the Taiwanese Chang Yu-Lung with an 11: 5 final victory over the Philippine Jeffrey Ignacio . Defending champion Lee Van Corteza was eliminated in the quarterfinals against Chang.

The Chinese Yu Han won the women's tournament with a 9: 5 victory in the final against the South Korean Kim Ga-young . Liu Shasha was eliminated as defending champion in the semifinals against Kim.

Thorsten Hohmann , the winner of 2009, reached the quarter-finals as the best German, Ralf Souquet was eliminated in the second round.

The tournament was initially played in the double knockout system until only 32 players (in the men's tournament) and 16 players (in the women's tournament) were in the tournament. These then determined the winner of the gymnast in the knockout system .
