Yu Han (* 1991 or 1992 ) is a Chinese pool player . She became world champion in the 9-ball discipline in 2013 and 2016 .
Career
singles
After reaching the semi-finals in 2007 and the quarter-finals of the All Japan Championship in 2008, Yu Han won the tournament in 2009 by beating South Korean Lim Yun-mi in the final . In addition, she reached the last 16 of the Amway World Open in 2009 and 17th place at the China Open . In 2010 she made it to the quarter-finals at the Amway World Open and the last 16 at the 10-ball World Championship . After she had also reached the round of 16 at the Philippines Open and the China Open 2011 , she made it to the semi-finals of a world championship for the first time at the WPA 9-Ball World Cup in September 2011 , but lost to her compatriot Chen Siming with 7 : 9. In November 2011, she was eliminated in the semi-finals of the 10-Ball World Cup against future world champion Kelly Fisher . A few days later she reached the quarterfinals of the All Japan Championship.
In 2012, Yu Han reached the quarter-finals of the 9-ball World Cup and the second round of the China Open . In August 2013 she moved into the final at the 9-ball world championship after victories against Allison Fisher and Tan Ho-yun and became world champion with a 9-1 final win against the Taiwanese Lin Yuan-chun . A few weeks later, she was eliminated in the semifinals of the 2013 10-Ball World Cup . In June 2014, Yu Han won the China Open with a 9: 5 victory in the final against South Korean Kim Ga-young . At the 9-Ball World Cup in 2014, she lost to Kim in the quarter-finals 8: 9. In 2015, she reached third place at the Chinese 8-Ball World Championship and the China Open, and the quarter-finals at the 9-Ball World Championship , in which she was beaten 5: 9 by Chou Chieh-yu from Taiwan .
In June 2016, Yu Han reached the semi-finals of the Amway Cup , losing 8: 9 to the eventual tournament winner Chezka Centeno . Two months later she won the China Open by beating Liu Shasha 9-8 in the final . In December 2016, Yu Han became the 9-ball world champion for the second time with a 9: 7 victory in the final against the Japanese Chihiro Kawahara .
