Corey Deuel (born November 20, 1977 in Santa Barbara , California ) is an American pool player .
Career
One of his greatest successes is reaching the semi-finals at the World Cup in 9-Ball in 2000. He also won the 2001 US Open in 9-Ball .
In 2000 Deuel was nominated for the Mosconi Cup for the first time . At 23 years and a month, he was the youngest player to be used for the American team. That record was replaced in 2015 by Skyler Woodward , who was 22 years and seven months old when he played his first game. Deuel won the Mosconi Cup three times (2000, 2009 and 2018) and took part a total of ten times (most recently in 2018), where he was named Most Valuable Player in 2003.
His nickname in the billiards scene is the Prince of Pool .
Deuel currently lives in West Jefferson , Ohio .
