Mosconi Cup 2003
When Mosconi Cup 2003 is the tenth edition of a 1994-annual 9-Ball - snooker tournament in which a European team against a US team plays. In 2003 it took place in the Studio Ballroom of the MGM Grand in Las Vegas , Nevada (USA) from December 18 to 21. Team USA won 11: 9, which was the eighth victory for the Americans.

- Tournament length : A maximum of 23 games are played; the team that wins 12 games first wins the tournament.
- Match length: The game mode in the individual matches is best of 9 , i.e. H. 5 games won are enough to win a set.
- Alternating break: The first kick is played, then the players or teams take turns, regardless of who wins.
- Alternating shot: in team competitions, the players rotate after each shot to the next player on their own team.
- Time limit of the shock: In 2003 there was no shot clock . This was introduced in 2005 and set at 30 seconds.

Thus the Mosconi Cup remained in the possession of the USA team until the next tournament in December 2004. The 2004 Mosconi Cup was held in Egmond aan Zee (Netherlands).
