The 2016 European Pool Billiards Championship was the 37th edition of the EPBF 's continental championship in the pool version of pool . It took place from April 2 to 12, 2016 in the Alpina, Wellness & Sporthotel in St. Johann im Pongau . It was the fifth European Championship in Austria and after 1985 and 2009 the third in St. Johann.

The European champions for men, women and wheelchair users were played out in the disciplines 8-ball , 9-ball , 10-ball and 14/1 endlessly , although 14/1 was not played endlessly for wheelchair users, as well as the European team champions for men and women .

The most successful players were the Austrian Jasmin Ouschan and the Swede Henrik Larsson , each with two European Championship titles. Host Austria was the most successful nation with three gold and one bronze medal.

In all competitions, the double knockout system was initially played. This mode was used until there were only a certain number of players in the tournament (64 for men, 16 for women, 8 for wheelchair users and 8 and 4 respectively for teams). Then it was played in the knockout system .
