Henrique Correia (born June 28, 1966 ) is a Portuguese pool player . He is a five-time senior European champion .

Career

In 2001 Correia won his only Euro Tour medal with bronze at the Portugal Open . At the 2009 Men's European Championship , he came ninth in 9-ball . In 2010 he made it into the European Championship finals in the 14/1 endless as well as in the 9-ball, where he met the German Frank Willner . After winning the 9-ball, Correia lost the 14/1 final. In 2010 he also reached the knockout round of a Euro Tour tournament for the last time at the German Open , but lost to the Dutchman Niels Feijen in the last sixteen .

At the Men's European Championship 2011 , Correia managed to move into the 10-ball quarter-finals. There he was defeated by the French Stephan Cohen , who then became European champion. In the seniors he was able to successfully defend his title in the 9-ball in the final against the Croatian Robert Sudić . In addition, he became 10-ball European champion by beating Poland's Tomasz Malinowski in the final and finished fifth in the 14/1. In 2012 Correia reached 17th place in the 10-ball at the men's European Championship . In the seniors he defeated Frank Willner in the final and was again 10-ball European champion. In the 9-ball he came in ninth place.

At the Senior European Championships 2013, Correia was third in 9-ball, fifth in 8-ball and 10-ball and ninth in 14/1 endless. In 2014 he lost to the German Reiner Wirsbitzki in the 14/1 final . He then defeated the Norwegian Vegar Kristiansen in the 10-ball final before losing to him in the 9-ball final.

At the EM 2010 Correia reached third place with the Portuguese men's team. With the senior team he was European champion in 2011 and lost to the German team in 2012. In 2013 he reached fifth place with the senior team.
