Reiner Wirsbitzki (born January 21, 1967 ) is a German pool player . He is a three-time senior European champion and fifteen-time German senior senior champion .

Career

After Wirsbitzki became German team cup winner in 2007 with the 1st PBC Berrenrath , he won medals at a German individual championship for the first time in 2008 . He won silver in 8-ball and 9-ball and was endlessly German champion in 14/1 . At the DM 2009 he won the bronze medal in 14/1 and 8-ball, in 2010 he was again German champion endlessly in 14/1.

At the EM 2011 , Wirsbitzki won his first European title in the 8-ball. At the 2012 DM he won silver in 8-ball and gold in 10-ball . At the EM 2013 he was 10-ball European champion after he was third in the 14/1. In the 2012/13 season he was with the 1st PBC Hürth-Berrenrath champions of the 2nd Bundesliga and thus rose to the 1st Bundesliga . At the DM 2013 he was third in 14/1 and 10-ball and became German 8-ball champion. In 2014 he became 14/1 European champion with a 100:50 final victory against the Portuguese Henrique Correia . In the 10-Ball he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the Dutchman Jesse Thehu. At the German championship 2014 Wirsbitzki won the 9-ball competition and became German runner-up in 10-ball. In July 2015 he reached the semi-finals of the World 14.1 Tournament . After defeating Shane van Boening , among others , he was defeated there by Thorsten Hohmann , the eventual winner of the tournament.
