The Pool Championship 1986 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in the Norwegian capital Oslo material discharged snooker tournament .

The disciplines 8-ball , 9-ball and 14/1 were played out endlessly for women and men. In addition, the men's European champions were determined.

In the men's race, Norbert Lang was the first German European champion. In the 14/1 endless final he defeated the Swede Jurgen Karlsson . As in 1984 and 1985, the Swede Björn Jonsson was 8-ball European champion, the Norwegian Bjørn L'Orange was 9-ball European champion. Oliver Ortmann won the bronze medal in the 8-ball. In the men's teams, Sweden became European champions by beating Germany in the final.

The German Franziska Stark became European champion for the first time with a final win in 14/1 against Louise Furberg . The Swede Anke Cronquist defended her title from the previous year in 8-ball, Helena Thornfeldt was 9-ball European champion. Sylvia Buschhüter won bronze in the 9-ball.
