The Pool Championship 2004 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in Hotel Diplomat in Prague been transmitted snooker tournament . After 2001 it was the second European Championship in the Czech Republic .

The disciplines 8-ball , 9-ball and 14/1 were played out endlessly for men, women and wheelchair users, although the wheelchair users didn't play 14/1 endlessly. In addition, the men's and women's European team champions were determined.

The Dutchman Niels Feijen became, like in 2002 and 2003, European champion in 14/1 endlessly. In the final he defeated the German Thomas Engert . He became 9-ball European champion by beating Ralf Souquet in the final . In the 8-ball final, Feijen was defeated by the German Thorsten Hohmann . Oliver Ortmann won another medal for Germany with bronze in the 9-ball.

The Norwegian Line Kjørsvik became European champion in 14/1 endless and in 8-ball. In the 14/1 she won the final against the German Daniela Benz , in the 8-ball against the Danish Charlotte Sorensen . French Laetitia Dos Santos became 9-ball European champion in the final against Swede Ulrika Andersson . Also won Franziska Stark two bronze medals, Wienke Thamsen once.

Among the wheelchair users, the Finn Jouni Tahti failed to defend his two titles from last year. In the 8-ball final he lost against the Swede Henrik Larsson , in the 9-ball he finished third. The Irishman Fred Dinsmore became 9-ball European champion in the final against Larsson. The Belgian Kurt Deklerck won two bronze medals.

The German men's team lost in the final against the Netherlands, who became European champions for the second time after 2000 . Italy and Finland took third place. In the women's category, the German team (Franziska Stark, Sandra Ortner , Daniela Benz, Wienke Thamsen) successfully defended their title from last year. In the final she defeated Denmark. The Netherlands and Finland won bronze.
