The Pool Championship 1981 was the European Pool Billiard Association EPBF in the Swiss capital Bern oriented billiards competition .
The disciplines 8-ball and 14/1 were played out endlessly . In addition to the men's titles, the women's European championships were also held for the first time.
In the men's category, Swedes Jurgen Karlsson and Sven Olaf Olsson became European champions. The most successful German was Günter Geisen , who became vice European champion in 8-ball. In the women's category, Ewa Svensson from Sweden and Klara Lensing from Germany became European champions.
